Here's some background...Tom Graham was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in September 2007. At this time, the doctors gave him the grim diagnosis that he would probably only have 1-2 more years on this earth. Unfortunately, that 1-2 years turned into only 4 months. Tom passed away on January 18, 2008 with his wife and daughters by his side.
Soon after Tom's death, Mary Linda decided that she wanted to find a way to prevent others from having to go through the pain and suffering (both physical and emotional) that Tom and his family had to endure. While searching on the internet one day, she came across the "Michael Rolfe Pancreatic Cancer Foundation". She learned that the foundation was searching for a way to detect pancreatic cancer at an earlier stage so that there may be a way to one day stop if from spreading at such a rapid pace. She decided that this was the answer she had been looking for!
